I found another inspiring food innovation: PlantLab!

http://www.plantlab.com
What is it?
PlantLab is a new company in Den Bosch, The Netherlands. They build greenhouses on a square meter with LED lighting. Through sophisticated computer programs it’s possible to cultivate a variety of your own invented vegetables and herbs. Because of the size, they can be built anywhere. For example, on the roof of a parking garage.
Why is it cool?
This coolhunt fits well with the Urban Farming trend. Urban Farming takes the countryside to the city by getting small vegetable gardens on for example, roofs. This is done by many restaurants, but you can also do on your own balcony.
Now that’s a very natural process, PlantLab is different. You can create your own vegetables and herbs and you can maintain it through technology. Useful for those who like fresh vegetables and the environment, but have a very full agenda.
